Dear FPA South Florida Members and Friends!
September already! WHAT??
In a way, it feels a little like a second beginning to me.
Summer winds down, calendars fill up, clients begin thinking about year-end decisions, and many of us start looking ahead to what comes next.
There is no question that financial planning is changing. Technology and AI are reshaping how we work; firms are navigating succession and talent challenges, and clients have more information at their fingertips than ever before. But I continue to believe that all of this change reinforces something important: the human side of advice matters more, not less.
Clients still need perspective, judgment, and someone they trust to help them make sense of increasingly complex decisions. Technology can make us more efficient and capable, but how we listen, communicate, and connect with the people we serve remains uniquely ours.
That sense of connection is also what makes FPA of South Florida so valuable. We have an incredible community of professionals with different experiences, perspectives, and ideas—and we are better when we learn from one another.
As we head into the final months of 2026, I hope you’ll make time to engage with our chapter. Attend a program, introduce yourself to someone new, bring a colleague, or find another way to get involved. The strength of our chapter really does come from the people who participate in it.
