FPA South Florida: June 2026 Newsletter
President's Message
Dear FPA South Florida Members and Friends!
As summer begins in South Florida, many of us are entering a season that feels a little different from the pace of the first quarter. Client meetings remain full, markets continue to create both opportunities and questions, and our businesses move forward. Yet this time of year also offers something increasingly rare in our profession: a chance to step back and gain perspective.
Mid-year is a natural checkpoint.
Not just to review business plans, revenue goals, or growth targets—but to ask ourselves a few broader questions:
Are we becoming the professionals we set out to be?
Are we continuing to learn and evolve?
Are we investing in the relationships that make our businesses and our profession stronger?
In a world increasingly focused on speed, efficiency, and technology, I believe one of the greatest competitive advantages remains something remarkably simple: connection.
Connection with clients.
Connection with colleagues.
Connection with mentors and future leaders.
Connection with the broader financial planning community.
That is one of the reasons organizations like FPA continue to matter. While education, conferences, and technical knowledge are important, the true strength of our association has always been the people. The conversations before a meeting begins. The introductions that lead to new opportunities. The willingness of experienced professionals to help someone just entering the profession. The friendships that develop over years of shared experiences.
These relationships strengthen both our individual careers and the profession as a whole.
As we move into the second half of 2026, I encourage each of you to find ways to engage more deeply with our chapter. Attend an event. Introduce yourself to someone new. Volunteer for a committee. Mentor a student or young professional. Share an idea, a challenge, or a lesson learned.
You may be surprised by how much value comes from a single conversation.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for being part of the FPA South Florida community. We greatly appreciate your commitment to serving clients, supporting one another, and advancing the financial planning profession, and our chapter remains committed to supporting you in those efforts.
I wish you a successful summer and look forward to connecting with many of you at our upcoming programs and events.
Warm regards,
Stacy McGinty
